Introducing Skatteguru Labs: AI Agents Integration
We recently killed Skatteguru AI (our own AI tax lawyer). It was too good to release to the public. It would have decimated the entire legal system! Well, to be honest, it was just too expensive to operate.
However, that doesn't mean we're giving up on AI. We're just pivoting and changing strategy. If you want to chat with an AI about your capital gains taxes, you can connect any chatbot that supports MCP to Skatteguru for AI Agents.
Skatteguru Labs, rolling out to Platinum users this week, must be enabled before you can use this.
What is Skatteguru Labs?
Skatteguru Labs is our new program for early access to experimental features. These are features that are still in development, may be incomplete, and can change quickly based on your feedback.
Labs features are available to Platinum+ customers who opt in through their account settings. This lets us ship ambitious features faster while getting real-world feedback from our most engaged users.
First Labs Feature: AI Agents Integration
The first feature available through Skatteguru Labs is our AI agents integration. Rather than building our own chatbot, we've embraced MCP (Model Context Protocol)—an open standard that lets you connect AI assistants like Claude Code directly to your Skatteguru account.
This means you can ask natural language questions about your taxes without leaving your AI workflow:
"What was my capital gains tax in 2025? What about 2024?"
How to Get Started
If you're a Platinum+ subscriber, here's how to enable AI agents integration:
- Enable Skatteguru Labs — Go to your account settings and opt into Labs under the Skatteguru Labs section.
- Enable AI Agents feature — Toggle on the AI agent access feature in Labs settings.
- Connect your AI client — Follow the setup guide to connect Claude Code or another MCP-compatible client.
