Export Your Trade History from cTrader

    Last updated: May 28, 2026

This guide will help you export your closed trade history from cTrader in Excel format, ready for import into Skatteguru.

Use the cTrader Desktop or cTrader Web version to perform the export. The mobile app does not support exporting trade history.

Language must be set to English

cTrader must be set to English before exporting. If the platform is in another language, column headers and trade directions (Buy/Sell) will be translated, and the file may not import correctly.

To change language: click your profile icon → Settings → Language → select English. Restart cTrader after changing.

    Steps to export from cTrader

    1

    Open cTrader and log in

Open cTrader Desktop or cTrader Web and log in to your live account (not a demo account).
    2

    Go to the History tab

Go to the History tab at the bottom of the Trade Watch panel.
    3

    Enable the required columns

Right-click on any column header and make sure the following columns are enabled:

    Symbol

    Trading instrument (e.g. EURUSD, XAUUSD)

    Opening direction

    Buy or Sell

    Closing time

Date and time the trade was closed

    Entry price

Price at which you entered the trade

    Closing price

Price at which you exited the trade

    Closing quantity

    Number of lots or contracts

    Gross

    Gross profit or loss

    Net

    Net profit or loss

    Balance

    Account balance after the trade

    Swap

    Swap fees (if applicable)

    Commission

    Commission costs

    4

    Export the statement

Click the Statement button (usually green, located at the top right of the History panel).
    5

    Save as Excel

Choose Excel as the format and click Save. Save the file with a clear name, for example: ctrader-trades-2025.xlsx.
    6

    Verify the exported file

Open the file in Excel or another spreadsheet app and check that:
    • Dates are present and recognizable (e.g. 28/01/2025 or 01/28/2025)
    • Trade directions show as Buy and Sell (in English)
    • Column headers are in English
    • No trades are missing from your expected date range
    7

    Upload to Skatteguru

Upload the Excel file(s) to Skatteguru and select cTrader as the source. Skatteguru will automatically read your trades and calculate your K4 form.

    Tips for Best Results

    • Export in batches: For long trading histories, export in smaller date ranges (e.g. per quarter or half-year) for easier handling.
    • Net vs Gross P/L: Skatteguru uses the Net P/L figure, which includes commissions and swaps.
    • Currency conversion: If you trade in USD, EUR, or other currencies, Skatteguru automatically converts values to SEK using exchange rates from Riksbanken (the Swedish Central Bank).
    • Keep your originals: Always keep the original export file as a backup.
